Welcome to the Knowledge Hub

The JD College Library is the heart of academic research and learning. To ensure a peaceful, productive, and fair environment for all students and faculty members, we request everyone to strictly adhere to the following library rules and regulations.

General Rules

  • A valid College ID card is mandatory for entry into the library.
  • Strict silence must be maintained inside the library premises at all times.
  • Bags, personal books, and umbrellas must be left at the property counter near the entrance.
  • Using mobile phones or any audio devices inside the reading room is strictly prohibited.

Borrowing Policies

  • Students can borrow up to 2 books at a time for a maximum duration of 14 days.
  • A late fine of ₹5 per day will be charged for books returned after the due date.
  • Reference books, journals, and magazines are for in-library reading only and cannot be issued.
  • In case a borrowed book is lost or damaged, the student must replace it with a new copy or pay the current market price.

Code of Conduct

  • Eating, drinking, and chewing gum are strictly prohibited inside the library.
  • Marking, underlining, or tearing pages from library books is a punishable offense.
  • The librarian reserves the right to suspend the membership of any student found misbehaving or violating rules.
  • Chairs and tables must not be rearranged.

Monday to Saturday: 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Closed on Sundays and Public Holidays
